4 years agoWashington Nationals pitchers Erick Fedde and Tanner Rainey were placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Wednesday night, according to Maria Torres of The Athletic. Fedde and Rainey are the two players involved in the earlier report of a Nationals player testing positive for COVID-19 and another being deemed a close contact, but there has been no identification of which player was the one to test positive. Rainey is one of the Nationals relievers who would potentially be in line for saves if Brad Hand or Daniel Hudson were sidelined, while Fedde had recently made a push for a spot in the starting rotation. At this point, their stint on the COVID-19 injured list shouldn't have too much of an impact in most fantasy leagues.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
