3 years agoTampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak wound up missing Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. His malady now has him listed day-to-day. The defenseman is a steady presence defensively despite being deployed in his own zone more than 64% of the time. It appears the injury occurred on Saturday night in Boston. Cernak played just 9:21 before blocking a shot off his foot. He had missed eight games earlier in the season due to a hand injury from blocking a shot. Expect more tests to be done on Monday. Cernak has four points in 15 games this season. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
