3 years agoErik Jones nearly won the pole for the Wise Power 400 on Sunday. He came up just 0.116 seconds short of the pole winner, Austin Cindric. Jones has a little bit of success at the Southern California track. He does have a top-ten result in his last two races on the two-mile d-shaped oval. While Jones has never led a lap on the track, the No. 43 Chevy has a seventh and tenth place result. Despite just being 26, Jones has to be considered at least a driver who could contend with the Next-Gen car. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
