4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Erik Swanson will get the start Monday evening against the Baltimore Orioles. With the starting depth for the big club thinned significantly with injuries to James Paxton, Marco Gonzales, and Nick Margevicius, the team has been forced to look to Swanson. He isn't properly stretched out to start, so it'll be a bullpen game. There's no reason to roster Swanson, but it'll be interesting to see if the Mariners continue to use a six-man rotation or shift to a more traditional five-man set-up. Doing so would raise the fantasy value of each member of the starting squad.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
