Ervin Santana Has Cast Removed
7 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Ervin Santana had the cast removed from his throwing hand on Monday. He is now scheduled to begin rehab work and strengthening exercises. Once he has built up his arm strength, he will begin a throwing program as he works towards a late April/early May return to the field. Santana had surgery on his right index finger in early February after experiencing discomfort in the digit at the beginning of Spring Training. Santana is coming off an excellent 2017 season which saw him win 16 games and post a 3.28 ERA over 33 starts.
