7 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Ervin Santana still has not been cleared to throw following February surgery on the middle finger on his pitching hand. Santana may go back for another exam on the finger, suggesting it may not be healing as expected. Manager Paul Molitor told reporters that it is, "Just one of those fluid situations." Santana's original timetable put his return date sometime in late April but it is safe to assume he won't be ready to pitch by then, considering he hasn't thrown a ball yet. Santana has been very durable over his MLB career, making at least 30 starts in seven of the past eight seasons.--Matt T - RotoBaller
