7 years agoThe Minnesota Twins placed starting pitcher Ervin Santana (finger) on the 10-day disabled list on Sunday with recurring symptoms related to his finger injury. In a corresponding move, the team activated outfielder Robbie Grossman (hamstring) from the disabled list. Santana will see a local hand specialist on Tuesday. The veteran right-hander got a late start to the season after having surgery on the finger and has never looked right, going 0-1 with an 8.03 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and only 16 strikeouts over five starts. There's a decent chance that he won't pitch again this year. Grossman was hitting .253 with four homers and 34 RBI in 92 games and becomes a designated hitter option against right-handed pitchers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
