Estevan Florial Sitting Against Blue Jays

2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Estevan Florial is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Florial is still searching for his first hit in six games after being called up recently. He's gone 0-for-16 with a run scored, one stolen base and six strikeouts, so he'll retreat to the bench in this one. With Giancarlo Stanton nearing a minor league rehab assignment, Florial might not be around much longer on the big-league roster. Aaron Judge is getting the start in center field and will hit second on Friday against Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman. Judge is the clear front-runner for American League MVP this year and is hitting .295/.393/.661 with a league-leading 46 home runs, 102 RBI, 98 runs scored and 68 walks in 115 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
