Estevan Florial Will Have Opportunity In Center Field
3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Estevan Florial will start the second game of Thursday's doubleheader in center field, and according to manager Aaron Boone, will be given every opportunity to run with the job after the team officially lost Aaron Hicks for the rest of the year to wrist surgery Thursday. Florial, who is 23 years old, was hitting .203/.295/.536 though 68 minor league at-bats this season with six home runs and an alarming 20 strikeouts across both the Double-A and Triple-A levels. It's time to add Florial in dynasty and keeper formats if you still can, but redraft managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach as Clint Frazier and Brett Gardner also stand to receive time in center.
