3 years agoCarolina Hurricanes defenseman Ethan Bear has cleared COVID-19 protocols, but he isn't quite ready to return to action on Thursday against Ottawa. The 24-year-old hasn't played since Nov. 20 and it seems like he needs a bit of practice time to get into game shape. With Tony DeAngelo and Brett Pesce still on the COVID-19 list, the Hurricanes are short of quality at the back, so they should be desperate to have Bear back on the ice. The former Oiler has tallied six points with a plus-eight rating in 16 games this season. His next chance to return comes on Saturday against Buffalo.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
