3 years agoCarolina Hurricanes defenseman Ethan Bear is likely out for Monday's matchup against Washington. He missed the morning skate with a lower-body injury and Brendan Smith is expected to take his place on Monday. The veteran rearguard will provide some physicality to the team, while Bear is the more talented player. He's recorded 13 points in 51 games as a third-pairing defenseman this season.
