3 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez mashed 49 home runs in 2019 and became one of the premier hot-corner fantasy options leading into this season. But the shortened nature of this season didn’t allow Suarez’s bat to heat up, much like it did the year before. Prior to the All-Star break in ‘19, Suarez had an .810 OPS, which is much closer to the .781 mark that he delivered this season. But over the final 72 games of ‘19, Suarez homered 29 times and posted a 1.081 OPS, an indication that a full schedule in 2021 could potentially help him get his power stroke back. Posting a career-best 14.4% barrel rate this year, fantasy managers not overly concerned with batting average can roll the dice on Suarez’s power potential heading into next year.--Jesse Borek
