Eugenio Suarez Homers Again; Makes First All-Star Game
6 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez had himself a great day on Sunday. Suarez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer off of Chicago Cubs left-hander Jon Lester. Later in the day, Suarez learned he was selected to his first All-Star game as a reserve. The All-Star nod was well-earned as Suarez has raked all season, posting a .315 average, 19 homers, and a National League-leading 68 RBI. He will look to keep it going against Cleveland Indians right-hander Mike Clevinger on Monday. The two have faced each other just twice over their careers, with Suarez going hitless with one strikeout.
