Eugenio Suarez Homers, Drives In Three In Loss
4 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez turned in a big game in a 7-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Monday. Suarez went 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk, and three RBI in the 12-inning loss. The veteran third baseman went deep for a two-run shot off of Minnesota starter J.A. Happ in the fourth inning. Suarez is now hitting .176 with 15 homers, 36 runs, and 42 RBI across 262 at-bats. While the batting average isn't there, Suarez is contributing across the other stat categories, making him worth starting in most fantasy leagues as long as you can withstand the low average. He has been picking it up at the plate a bit of late, hitting .241 over his past 15 games.
