4 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Eugenio Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in an 8-6 win over the Chicago Cubs on Friday. Suarez connected with a Jake Arrieta offering in the fourth inning, giving him four homers on the year. It has been slow going for Suarez thus far, as he's hitting just .130 with 14 runs and nine RBI in 92 at-bats. Suarez ranks in the 79th percentile in barrel rate, but he's striking out at a 38.1% rate and has just a 12th percentile hard-hit rate. Suarez is usually above average in hard-hit rate, with his season-low since 2018 ranking in the 60th percentile since 2018. He is too talented to drop but Suarez needs to be on fantasy benches until he shows more signs of consistency.--Matt T - RotoBaller
