3 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in a 9-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday. Suarez blasted a solo homer off of Pittsburgh reliever Cody Ponce in the fifth inning on a ball that traveled 399 feet. The veteran infielder has struggled in the batting average department this season but he's still hitting for power. Suarez is slashing .179/.268/.390 with 27 homers, 64 runs, and 71 RBI over 464 at-bats. He has been better at the plate recently, hitting .286 with four homers over his past 15 contests.--Matt T - RotoBaller
