Eugenio Suarez Homers Versus Pirates
4 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two strikeouts in a 14-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday. Suarez connected for his solo shot off of Pittsburgh starter Mitch Keller in the second inning. The veteran infielder is hitting just .134 with six homers, 16 runs, and 13 RBI in 119 at-bats. Two of his homers and four RBI have come over his past seven games. Some of his struggles can be attributed to the fact that Suarez is not hitting the ball hard this season, ranking in the sixth percentile in hard-hit rate at 27.5%, well below his career average of 36.6%. The veteran infielder remains a hold in fantasy but he needs to be on benches until he starts swinging the bat better.
