5 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in a 9-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. Suarez connected for his 49th homer in the first inning off Milwaukee starter Jordan Lyles. The veteran third baseman is now just one bomb away from the exclusive 50-home run club as he is putting the finishing touches on a career year. Suarez is hitting .273 with a .931 OPS, the 49 homers, 87 runs, 103 RBI, and three steals. He will go for homer No. 50 on Thursday against Milwaukee's Chase Anderson.--Matt T - RotoBaller
