Eugenio Suarez Slumps To .173 On The Year
4 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Eugenio Suarez went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in a 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Sunday. It has been a rough month of April for Suarez, who is hitting just .173 with two homers, 11 runs, and five RBI in 52 at-bats. The veteran is not showing many signs of life as he has an expected batting average of just .175 and just an 85.6 MPH exit velocity, which ranks in just the 11th percentile in the league. If fantasy gamers are looking for a glimmer of hope, Suarez does have a 10.3% barrel rate, which is above average in the league at the 62nd percentile. Suarez still has time to turn things around and brings 40-homer potential to the shortstop position, so his fantasy managers will need to stay patient.
