2 years agoMiami Marlins right-handed pitching prospect Eury Perez (arm) has been placed on the seven-day injured list in the minor leagues with arm fatigue. The 19-year-old allowed 13 earned runs in his last three outings for Double-A Pensacola over 11 innings, with his arm fatigue likely contributing to those ugly results. The Marlins' No. 1 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, has a 4.19 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 102 strikeouts and 21 walks in 73 innings over 16 starts at Pensacola this year. The 6-foot-8 youngster projects to continue increasing the velocity on his fastball because of his extra-long, super-lean frame. There isn't a timetable for his return from the seven-day injured list, but the Marlins will surely be cautious with their top prospect.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
