6 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (knee) is out in Week 5 against the Panthers, but he did some running and light cutting on a side field during practice this week, marking the first time he was able to do these activities since he sprained his right MCL two weeks ago. He'll miss his second straight game this week and is likely to miss Week 6 on a short week on Thursday against the Eagles. However, it seems reasonable that he'd be able to return in Week 7 against the Falcons on Monday night. “Right now, I feel great,” Engram said. “Recovery is going well. Just trying to be smart with everything so I can get out there as soon as possible.” Rhett Ellison will continue to fill in for Engram, with Scott Simonson getting snaps in two-tight end sets. They combined for four catches on six targets for 36 yards in Week 4. Neither of them are fantasy relevant with Engram out. Engram's owners will have to sit tight for another week or so, but when he returns he'll easily be a top-10 tight end at the weakest position in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
