Evan Engram Out Week 1
3 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (calf) will be held out of Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. Engram has missed practice time leading up to the season opener, so it is not surprising he will be inactive on Sunday. Kyle Rudolph could be the biggest beneficiary of Engram's absence, as he can potentially carve out an increased role as a receiver. Kaden Smith has shown some chemistry with Daniel Jones in the past and could be in line for some increased playing times as well. Upon his return to the lineup, Engram can be considered a TE2 option because of his likely limited target share with the additions of Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney in the offseason.
