7 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis went 1-for-3 with a walk and two-run home run as the Astros beat the Rangers 6-1. It was his second blast of the weekend as he went 4-for-12 in the series with four runs driven in. The team is clearly trying to get the veteran hitter going this week as he recorded a season-high five starts this week. Gattis is off to a slow start in the early stages of the season and the productive weekend raised his batting average up to only .214. The team may elect to play Gattis more this coming week as he heats up but he is no longer an everyday player. Gattis, at this time, lacks any kind of fantasy appeal.--Joey C - RotoBaller
