6 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis heads into the All-Star break enjoying one of the best stretches of his career. He has 19 home runs at the break, the most he has hit in a half since popping 19 in the second half of 2016. He also currently is on pace for 89 runs batted in this season which would also be a career best. Gattis hit only one home run in the month of April but now has 18 over his last 209 at-bats. He also is hitting .312 with runners in scoring position and is in a great groove at the plate. Fantasy owners, however, will need to see improvement with Gattis' home/road splits. Gattis is slashing only .171/234/.364 through 44 home games this season but is posting a .302/.355/.604 line through 42 games away from Minute Maid Park.--Joey C - RotoBaller
