6 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis has done most of his damage this season playing away from Minute Maid Park. In 55 road games this season, Gattis is slashing .286/.343/.577 with 11 doubles, 14 home runs and 45 runs batted in. The veteran is hitting only .182 at home this season as many of the Houston hitters have struggled to hit for power at home. Gattis is hitting only .184 in the month of August but does have two doubles and three home runs over his last 38 at-bats. The Astros are clinging to a slim division lead and will need to begin to hit more consistently if they want to hang on. After a huge first half of the season, Gattis has certainly shown some signs of slowing down.--Joey C - RotoBaller
