3 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (finger) is progressing well and has been doing limited baseball work. Longoria had surgery to fix a ligament in his right index finger in late March and is now doing baseball activities after having his stitches removed. However, the 36-year-old was originally expected to miss four to six weeks after the surgery, so fantasy managers must continue to be patient. But barring any setbacks, there's a chance that he'll be able to make his season debut for the Giants at the end of this month. The three-time All-Star has become an injury risk after playing in only 81 games last year, and he hit .261 with 13 home runs, 46 RBI and 45 runs scored in 253 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
