Evan Longoria Expected To Return Right After The All-Star Break
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants' third baseman Evan Longoria (shoulder) could return around the third week of July. He's been sidelined since June 5 with a left shoulder sprain. The 35-year-old took dry swings and played catch on Friday. The player known as "Longo" was impressive before landing on the 10-day injured list, slashing .280/.376/.516 with nine home runs, 28 runs scored, and 30 RBI in his 186 plate appearances. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Longoria if they have the roster room. Wilmer Flores will continue to handle third base duties while Longo is sidelined. Flores has been solid at the plate for the Giants this season, slashing .264/.333/.440 with eight home runs, 28 RBI, 29 runs scored, and one stolen base over 70 games.
