4 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (plantar fasciitis) has hit very well this spring, compiling a .474/.500/1.211 slash line with four home runs and 10 RBI. However, he has yet to play the field for the Giants. It makes sense that Giants have tried to keep Longoria off his feet as much as possible given his foot condition, but the team will not have the designated hitter available to them this season. The veteran could be a surprise late fantasy pick this season given how well he has been hitting, but it would be nice to see him play in the field at least a little bit before the regular season to show that he will be able to handle the physical toll on a regular basis.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
