Evan Longoria Leaves Thursday’s Game Against Miami
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria exited Thursday's matchup against the Miami Marlins. After getting the day off to rest on Wednesday, the 35-year-old made a premature departure, although the reason is unknown as of right now. Longoria has been dealing with plantar fasciitis since the beginning of the season, so it wouldn't be surprising if his foot were acting up again. The veteran has been producing some of his best numbers in years, batting .291 to go along with 16 hits, four home runs, nine RBI, and seven walks throughout 17 games. A trip to the disabled list would be a blow to those who have been capitalizing on Longoria's production that has been beyond his preseason ADP.
