3 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Evan Marshall (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a strained right flexor, the team announced. Marshall exited Tuesday night's 7-6 victory over the Minnesota Twins with right forearm soreness, allowing two runs on two hits in two-thirds of an inning before Ryan Burr took over for him. Despite tallying 26 strikeouts through 27 innings pitched this season, the 31-year-old right-hander has yet to replicate his success from the 2019 and 2020 seasons and goes onto the IL owning a 5.06 ERA. Reliever Aaron Bummer (hamstring) also landed on the IL with a right hamstring strain, and left-hander Jace Fry was called up from Triple-A Charlotte to replace him on the roster.--Chelena Goldman
