Evan White Finishes Spring Strong
4 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Evan White had a strong game Monday to close out his spring training season. White went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. He is currently in third place across all players in spring training with his 16 RBI. After enduring a two week stretch where he went hitless, White raised his slash line all the way to .222/.296/.400 for the spring. That leaves a lot to be desired, but if the way he's turned things around is any indication, White could manage to contribute for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues. He's always hit the ball hard, and he only struck out in 10 of 45 spring at-bats, which is significant progress for him. He's worth keeping an eye on for fantasy managers as the season begins.
