Evan White Homers Again
4 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Evan White hit a long two-run home run Monday, over the batter's eye in center field. The bomb came off Trevor Bauer and gave the Mariners a 3-2 lead. It left the bat with an exit velocity of 108 MPH. Despite White's 2020 struggles, he did post elite hard contact numbers, with an exit velocity in the 87th percentile and a hard hit rate in the 95th percentile. White has been heating up of late, with four of his six spring hits, including two home runs, coming in the last five games. White is no more than a late-round flier in fanasy drafts, but keep an eye to see if he can cut down on his strikeout rate and capitalize on his hard contact rates.
