Evan White Hopes To Play His Way Into Big League At-Bats In 2018
7 years agoSeattle Mariners first base prospect Evan White hit only .200 in 15 spring at-bats but was able to flash some of his talent in camp. Seattle's 2017 first-round pick got 47 at-bats playing for the Mariners A-ball affiliate last season, hitting .277 with five extra base hits and 12 runs batted in. White has excellent speed and plenty of potential with the bat for a position that will feature a combination of slow-footed sluggers Ryon Healy and Dan Vogelbach to begin the season at the big league level. White will get every opportunity to work his way through the minors this season and could be in line for some big league at-bats by season's end. White's fantasy value is reserved only for keeper and dynasty leagues at this point but is a player worth monitoring as the season prepares to get underway.
