4 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Evan White (hip) has been taken off of his rehab assignment after suffering a recent setback, according to Jen Mueller of ROOT Sports Northwest. Mueller adds that White is currently working with the Mariners training staff for the next few days, and it could be five to six days before he can return to Triple-A Tacoma. He's struggled at the plate this year, slashing .144/.202/.237 with two homers, nine RBI and eight runs scored over 30 games. While White is out, Ty France and Jake Bauers should continue to see playing time at first, and that could even extend to beyond White's return.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
