Evan White Resumes Baseball Activity
3 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Evan White (hip flexor) has resumed baseball activity, according to manager Scott Servais, hitting in the cage for the first time on Thursday. White has not played since May 13, when he injured his hip flexor, and he had been dreadful up to that point with a .144/.202/.237 slash line and just two homers this year. Still, he will be expected to resume everyday first base duties as of his return. The Mariners have lately turned to catcher Jacob Nottingham in his stead, so the options are slim. White is not an attractive fantasy asset at the moment.
