6 years agoMinnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen returned to practice on Wednesday after missing five games to address a mental-health issue, and it's too early to tell if he will play in Week 8 against the Saints. "We’re just going to see how he comes back," Zimmer said of whether Griffen will play Sunday. "Really, that’s not the focus right now. The focus is seeing how he’s doing, and work him in a little bit, and we’ll decide at the end of the week." Griffen is one of the team's best pass rushers and has had double-digit sacks in two of the last three seasons. His return would give Minnesota's pass rush a huge boost.
