6 years agoPittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin posted a pair of assists with a plus-one rating, a blocked shot, two minor penalties and a hit in his 18:19 of ice time in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss against the Montreal Canadiens. About the only thing which didn't go in his favor was a losing night in the faceoff circle, winning just eight of his 17 battles at the dot. Geno has three multi-point performances in four outings so far, totaling one goal with seven assists and a plus-1 rating. It's another season, but the same old song for Malkin who continues to just sail along.--Daniel Dobish
