Falcons Agree To Extension With Grady Jarrett
3 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons agreed to a three-year contract extension worth up to $51 million with defensive tackle Grady Jarrett on Tuesday, according to sources. The Falcons will lower their salary cap number for this season, while Jarrett receives $34.5 million fully guaranteed. The two-time Pro Bowler is more effective in real life as a run-stuffer than in fantasy leagues. Jarrett finished last season with 59 tackles (38 solo), three tackles for loss, 12 QB hits, one sack and one fumble recovery in 17 starts for Atlanta. He has 26.5 sacks in his seven-year NFL career, but he has never had more than 7.5 sacks in a single season for the Falcons after they made him a fifth-round selection in 2015 out of Clemson.
