Falcons Emerge As Sleeper For Deshaun Watson
3 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons have emerged as a sleeper team to acquire Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, according to league sources. The Falcons join the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns as teams that are interested in trading for Watson. Watson isn't facing criminal charges, but he still has 22 sexual-assault allegations against him in court, making matters more difficult and a suspension in 2022 possible. If the Falcons were to swing a trade for Watson, they'd likely be sending Matt Ryan to the Texans in the swap, but the Falcons would be eating more than $27 million in dead money. Watson sat out the entire 2021 season, but he should be a high-end QB1 target in fantasy if he's not suspended at all this year.
