3 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons drafted USC wide receiver Drake London with the No. 8 overall pick of the 2022 NFL draft on Thursday night. London was the Player of the Year on offense in the Pac-12 last year despite missing the last four games of the season with a fractured ankle. He has tremendous athleticism and was also a basketball player earlier in this career. It's well-known that the Falcons have a big need for pass-catching talent after Russell Gage left in free agency and the team lost Calvin Ridley for the entire season due to a suspension. London could have issues with his straight-line speed at the next level, and his rookie season could be rough with Marcus Mariota throwing him passes, but in the long-term, his physical skills and contested-catch ability should make him a strong receiving threat.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
