Falcons Trade Matt Ryan To Colts
3 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons traded quarterback Matt Ryan to the Indianapolis Colts on Monday in exchange for a third-round pick. Ryan will also get a contract adjustment with more guaranteed money. Monday was a deadline for Atlanta to make a decision on whether to trade Ryan or give him a $7.5 million roster bonus. The 36-year-old will now head to a much better all-around offense in Indianapolis after spending the first 14 years of his career in Atlanta. Ryan wasn't of much use in fantasy in 2021, but in his defense, he didn't have many playmakers to throw the ball to. With the Colts, he'll have one of the best up-and-coming young running backs in Jonathan Taylor, and wideouts Michael Pittman Jr. and Parris Campbell should be more attractive in fantasy. Ryan will be a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 target in fall drafts.
