3 years agoTaking one of the scorecards when the decision was read, Felipe Colares suffered a split-decision loss to Chris Gutierrez in Saturday's main-card opener. Statistically, it was not close, with Colares only landing 41 significant strikes (70 total strikes) compared to Gutierrez's 96 significant strikes. With the loss, Colares has now dropped to 2-3 in the UFC. All of his bouts in the UFC have ended by decision. If this trend continues, he needs to pick up his strike count if he wants to win by leaving the decision to the judges.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
