4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Felix Hernandez left his start early on Tuesday with what was described as elbow discomfort, The Athletic's Dan Connolly reports. Connolly adds that manager Brandon Hyde described the move as precautionary, and that he will be reevaluated on Wednesday. Hernandez had looked sharp in the one inning he pitched, retiring the side in order while striking out two. However, his other two outings this spring have been rough, as he has allowed six runs — five earned — over 5 2/3 innings in three appearances. Assuming tests come back negative and Hernandez is cleared to return, he can have some value in deep, AL-only formats as a potential streaming option, but in most other formats managers can safely ignore him for now.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
