5 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez (lat) is playing catch out to 105 feet and he might resume throwing from a mound sometime next week. He hasn't appeared in a game since May 11 in Boston when he was tuned up for seven earned runs, six hits and three walks in just 2 1/3 innings in a loss. Hernandez might be progressing nicely, but he is 1-4 with a 6.52 ERA and 1.50 WHIP through eight starts and is just a shell of his former self. He hasn't won since April 1 (no foolin'). When healthy he is only worth a look in the deepest of AL-only fantasy leagues barring any unexpected resurgence.--Daniel Dobish
