4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Felix Hernandez said Thursday that his motivation to continue pitching is to reach the Hall of Fame, per MLB.com's Joe Trezza. King Felix, now 34 years old, put forth stellar numbers over his first 12 seasons with the Mariners. However, things started declining for him in 2017 and Hernandez has not pitched since 2019. Given the many question marks in the O's starting rotation, Hernandez should have plenty of opportunities to start this season. While he said that he feels "really, really good" and is ready to pitch with his new team, he cannot be trusted from a fantasy perspective at this time. However, given how strong of a pitcher he once was, it can't hurt for fantasy players to keep an eye on him this Spring Training.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
