6 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Felix Hernandez will have his hands full when he takes the mound against a powerful New York lineup at Yankee Stadium Wednesday night. Hernandez has been absolutely brutal pitching on the road this season, allowing 30 earned runs in 35 innings for a 7.71 ERA. His WHIP is an unsightly 1.63, and he is averaging only 6.7 strikeouts per nine innings away from Safeco Field. Hernandez is no longer the ace of the Mariners staff, but he has done a decent job of eating up innings despite mixed results at times.
