6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Felix Pena allowed four earned runs, four hits and a walk across just 3 2/3 innings in a loss against the Oakland Athletics on Saturday. He was able to post three strikeouts, but he managed to throw just 32 of his 61 pitches for strikes while also hitting a batter. He threw first-pitch strikes to just 10 of the 17 batters he faced. Pena had his changeup working at the end of spring training, but he is still a young pitcher and there will be growing pains. Despite the shaky performance he is still a worthy AL-only fantasy option unless this type of performance becomes the norm. Next up is a matchup with the Texas Rangers at the Big A next Friday.--Daniel Dobish
