Felix Pena Features Sick Changeup In Freeway Series Start
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher Felix Pena worked just 3 1/3 innings in his final spring tune-up against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. However, he allowed just one run while posting nine strikeouts. He credited his hard work on improving his changeup during the spring. "I've been working on (the changeup) since spring training," Pena said through an interpreter, "and thank God it's where I want to be." Pena was able to toss 80 pitches on Sunday, and manager Brad Ausmus said Pena will be limited to 90-95 pitches in his regular-season debut. He is a decent AL-only fantasy option for his strikeout potential.
