6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Fernando Romero saw his streak of solid starts come to an end on Wednesday. The Kansas City Royals battered Romero for eight runs off nine hits in just 1 2/3 innings, sending him to his second loss of the season. The rookie managed just one strikeout and walked one batter in the outing, which goes down as the shortest of his young career. Romero now has a 2-2 record, 4.15 ERA, and 30 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings of work this season. Despite the poor outing, Romero has plenty of strikeout upside in his arm and, as such, his fantasy owners should remain patient with him.--Matt T - RotoBaller
