3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. has come out against an international MLB draft, although former MLB players Bobby Abreu and Carlos Guillen, who run academies in Venezuela, have the opposite opinion. Tatis may be in the majority as the league and Players Association negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement on Wednesday to try and save a full 162-game season in 2022. There are strong opinions on both sides, but it's hard to see the international draft issue as being a deal-breaker for either side. After negotiations all day Tuesday, MLB set a new deadline for Wednesday afternoon for the two sides to reach an agreement before the league cancels another week of regular season games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
